After months of speculation and hype, Disney has finally released a full detailed model of their upcoming Star Wars Land.
The full scale model of the massive 14-acre expansion — which is being built at both Disneyland in Anaheim, California and Disney Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida — has been revealed at Disney’s bi-annual D23 convention (think Comic-Con for Disney nerds).
Photos of the model and one of the ride vehicles first began circulating on social media during press previews from the event.

Soon after the event, Disney released detailed photos and a video of the model.
Both iterations of Star Wars Land will “transport guests to a never-before-seen planet, a remote trading port and one of the last stops before Wild Space, where Star Wars characters and their stories come to life.”
The lands, which will be completely cut off from other areas of parks with by large mountains and forests, will feature numerous interactive elements — including the ability for guests to become an “operative” of the Resistance, immersive theming, completely in-universe food and merchandise options, and two major attractions described by Disney as, “one that lets guests take the controls of Millennium Falcon on a customized secret mission, and an epic Star Wars adventure that puts guests in the middle of a climactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance.”
Both the Disneyland and Walt Disney World versions of Star Wars Land are scheduled to open in 2019.
More details about the attractions are expected to be announced over the course of D23 weekend.
