After pledging millions to help relief efforts in her hometown of Houston after the devastating Hurricane Harvey, Queen Bey is back to her philanthropic ways to help hurricane-devastated regions in the Caribbean.
On Thursday, Beyoncé announced via an Instagram post that proceeds from a new collaboration with J. Balvin and Willy William will benefit Puerto Rico and other Caribbean areas devastated by Hurricane Maria and other storms in recent weeks.
“I am donating my proceeds from this song to hurricane relief charities for Puerto Rico, Mexico and the other affected Caribbean islands,” Beyonce wroteon the Instagram post. She then directed anybody who wished to help to visit Beyonce.com/reliefefforts.
Hurricanes have torn through islands in the Caribbean and Florida, and Houston was particularly hard hit by Harvey, where more than 50 inches of rain fell, causing severe flooding and damage. Beyonce set up a fundraiser for victims of the storm, which reportedly raised more than $7 million.
Along with proceeds from the song, Refinery29 reports that Beyoncé and husband Jay Z have helped load a 200,000-pound cargo plane with supplies to depart for Puerto Rico on Oct. 7.
