Young Girl Shows Amazing Compassion By Giving A Homeless Man Her Dinner

Kindness can be an underrated and relatively uncommon thing these days. A lot of adults have a hard time showing kindness, so it’s even more impressive when a young child shows genuine kindness to another human being.

That’s exactly what young Ella Scott did, and her completely selfless act has captured the attention and hearts of millions around the world. This is the kind of kid that every parent should want to raise.

Ella’s exact age isn’t mentioned, but she looks to be in the 5-10-year-old age range. Even though she’s young, she knows a person in need when she sees one. While about to enjoy a meal with her father in a nice restaurant, Ella spotted a man sitting outside on the street. He looked rather lonely and hunched over, so Ella thought it was only proper for her to do something nice for this man. She asked her father if she could give the homeless man her own plate of food.

Upon gaining her father’s permission, she brought her plate outside and delivered it to the man. It’s clear in the video that the man was definitely in need of some human compassion, and besides just giving him food, Ella showed him that much-needed compassion.

All of these noble emotions can be seen throughout the video as they play out on Ella’s face, and it’s incredible to see a young person with such strong values. Her father clearly felt the same, as you can hear him in the video as he says, “My girl right here, I love her to bits.” As Ella mumbles a few words to the homeless man, her father goes on to say, “Good job, Ella. Ella, you’re amazing. I think you just made his day. I think you just made his week.”

After Ella returns to the table in the restaurant, she appears to be proud and happy for only a moment before returning her attention to the homeless man outside. She’s more caught up in caring for the man than she is in recognizing her own good deed.
