You Won’t Believe This Entire Chess Set is Made of Paper
When you really think about it, chess is a form of art. While most of us see chess as a game, it can be considered an art. The game has layers, is complicated, and takes time to become proficient at. Also, like creating art, chess involves some planning, strategies, and different tactics to find success.
But one creative and amazing DIYer was able to combine her love for art and chess into one amazing project. Her idea was an artistic chessboard, that is probably the most beautiful one I have ever seen. Down to the last minute detail, the chessboard is gorgeous, and you’ll never believe how she made it.
In what takes a ton of patience and even more talent, this DIYer created a chessboard and pieces out of tiny thin strips of paper, and the result was magical. She even added another element to it that really made the project shine.
Her first obstacle was to not only create the box for her chess set but also to attach tiny little lines of LED lights inside it, which leads to an amazing effect once the chessboard is complete. Next up was easily the most difficult, precise and time-consuming part of the entire project, which was to quilt each and every chess piece out of tiny strips of colorful tissue paper.
Not only did she create the pieces from scratch, she made them extremely detailed and each piece is unique in its own way. After they were all done, she painted over them with a clear varnish to make them much more durable.
Next, she coiled pieces to act as the base for her board, which was just as beautiful as the pieces themselves. And while the board looks amazing in the light, it looks even better once you turn the lights off and those LED lights on.
The result is a magnificent glow in the dark chessboard that is unlike any in history. The game is not only fully functional but is also a perfect addition to any room and is sure to impress anyone who sees it.
