You Won’t Believe What You Can Make Out of Paint Samples
There is nothing quite like the excitement you feel when you are picking out a new color of paint to paint a room in your house that desperately needs it. While exciting, there are so many options to choose from.
While you may think you have the color you want in your head, doubt always begins to creep in (especially after you see the hundreds of different color and shades that you can pick from).
Do you go with a bold red? How about a classic white? Or what about a nice light and cozy pink? The opportunities are truly endless. And no one picks just one color, we need to see how a variety of different colors would look with our decor in the room we are looking to paint.
And the preferred way of most people to do that is to grab dozens of those little paint color samples (called chips) and take them home to see what looks the best. Problem is, there is an almost endless supply of those colors and it can be overwhelming, and you end up taking way more home than you originally had planned.
After considering tons of colors, you finally find the one you want. Now you are left with tens (or even hundreds) of those little paint samples just laying around. What should you do?
But instead of just garbaging those extra (and now useless) paint samples, you can actually create some breathtaking art out of them. In fact, there is a large number of different types of things you can do with these. Here are but a few examples:
One of the simplest and most common things to do with them is punching a small hole at the end of one, tie a string through it, and you’re done. These make gorgeous little gift tags that are sure to add a little color and character to any gift you are giving in the next little while.
If things like origami are more your style, you can even craft little tiny gift boxes out of these things. No more using a big bag or box for a tiny gift like a ring or necklace, you now have your own custom and beautiful little box for all your minuscule gift giving needs.
These also hold a lot of value if you don’t even alter them at all as they can be used as dividers in file folders or even bookmarks. Even just by folding a few together, you can make a mini notebook for you to take anywhere.
Of course, they can also be cut and pasted in attractive color patterns that make art good enough to frame and put on your walls, and can also be molded into a number of different cool and artistic pieces to display in and around your hour. The opportunities are truly endless and you can use your imagination to create anything you want.
