There is a seemingly endless supply of strange and abnormal stories on the internet. Just by googling “weird stories”, you can be entertained for hours upon hours. I literally can’t even begin to explain the millions and millions of insane stories you can find out there.
And despite all of those crazy stories out there, I would argue that the one you’re about to read is even crazier than them all. And not only is the story and the two boys involved in it unreal, but doctors can’t even explain it and are simply baffled by it.
Doctors go through some of the most strenuous and long schooling and testing on the planet and are simply some of the smartest individuals on the planet. If these people can’t see or understand fully what’s going on, no one can. Okay, enough setting it up, get ready to be shocked.
Most of us complain that there are not enough hours in the day to get stuff done, but these two boys from Pakistan take this to a whole other level and show us that we shouldn’t be complaining. If you meet Mohammad Shoaib, who is 13, and his brother Abdul Rasheed, who is 9, during the day, they seem like two normal energetic kids.
But if you meet them at night, it is a totally different story. Their health and state both physically and mentally deteriorate and change drastically when the sun goes down, and doctors are completely baffled as to why this occurs.
The two boys become paralyzed and are unable to talk or move at all until the sun rises the following day. These boys literally go from fun-loving and energetic brothers playing with their toys, to basically passed out, as soon as the sun goes down. They have been called the “Solar Boys” by local media and the doctors and medical professionals in Pakistan are desperately trying to figure out why this illness has happened, what causes it, and how can it be stopped.
The craziest part is that the boys have actually lost two brothers from the same crazy and bizarre condition and as a result, the boys, their family, and the doctors are all very worried. Thankfully, the boys lived in a specialized medical environment that helps them live as best as they can, but this illness is still obviously a huge issue in their lives.
So the next time you complain about not having enough time in a day to get things done, think about these two boys who literally will have half of their day taken for them for the rest of their lives unless some breakthrough is discovered or they are able to eventually be diagnosed with something, something that can hopefully be treated. If not, they could be in for a rough life.
Here is a great little video that shows more about this baffling condition that has doctors reeling and looking for answers.
