This Doberman Once Again Proves How Amazing Dogs Are
Time and time again, dogs do some really amazing things and show us that we really don’t deserve them. While dogs are our pets and we’re their owners, they are often much more than that.
Dogs can be our best friends, can be our confidantes and can make sure we are never alone. Even the largest and toughest dogs often have a sweet spot, especially for their owners.
The subject of this article is an adorable Doberman named Kahn. Kahn was unfortunately abused and abandoned by his previous owners and was looking for a new place to live. Thankfully, the Svilic family adopted him to come live with them and their 17-month-old daughter, Charlotte.
Immediately, Charlotte and Kahn took a liking to each other and formed quite a dynamic duo. A Doberman can often weigh upwards of 75 pounds and Charlotte weighed around 25-30 lbs. But on the fourth day, Kahn was home, something strange happened.
The two were playing on the grass and all of a sudden, Kahn got aggressive and started pushing Charlotte all over the yard. Suddenly, Kahn picked her up by the diaper and threw her across the lawn.
Seeing this, the child’s mother ran out to scold the dog and help her daughter, but she noticed something. What she noticed was that the dog wasn’t trying to hurt the girl or cause damage, but he was trying to save her.
What he was saving her from was a poisonous snake who had found its way into their backyard and was going right for Charlotte. As it turned out, the quick thinking of the animal to move Charlotte away could have potentially saved her life.
If that dog wasn’t there, this story could have a much darker ending but instead, the story teaches us a good lesson about not assuming without knowing the full story. While the family originally thought the dog was being aggressive and hurting their daughter, he was really saving her from something that could have seriously injured her.
