Sophie Turner: Exercising is ‘liberating’
Sophie Turner finds exercising "liberating".
The ‘Game of Thrones’ star really enjoys working out as it has made her feel "less self-conscious".
She said: "Exercise has made me feel more positive about my body, less self-conscious. I don’t know if I look any different, but I feel stronger, and I can do more, which is such a good feeling. It’s so liberating.
"I’ve really embraced healthy eating. It makes you feel a lot better and more energetic. I’m inspired to get up and out."
The 20-year-old actress opted for working out around London as she felt it would keep her mind off the task in hand.
She told the June issue of SELF magazine: "It was all outside, around London, which was more fun than being cooped up in a gym. I need to do fun stuff that takes my mind off the fact that I’m working out."
Meanwhile, Sophie – who is best known for her role as Sansa Stark in ‘Game of Thrones – previously admitted she is having an "identity crisis" but is looking forward to the fans seeing more of Sansa.
She shared: "I feel like I know her better than I know myself. Which is strange, because I totally don’t know who I am at this point. When I’m on set walking around, I find myself becoming her … I am actually having an identity crisis at the moment.
"I’m so excited [for the new season]. This is the season I’ve kind of been waiting for for Sansa, and I feel like fans have been as well. Those people that get frustrated at her for doing nothing – this is the season where she actually does something.
"This isn’t Sansa being a pawn in other people’s games and being shipped around by different people. She is taking charge and she is bringing the people that she wants with her to get what she wants. She becomes a leader in her own right.
"It’s such a relief. I always saw this potential in Sansa right from the very beginning, from the moment I started playing her, and other people just didn’t see it, I guess. And now it’s just fun because I get to prove all the haters wrong."
