Simon Cowell "really cares" about people, according to Fifth Harmony.

The girl group – which includes Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane, Camila Cabello and Lauren Jauregui – are thrilled to be working alongside "Uncle Simon" and have praised his "nice spirit".

Speaking on 96.5 Tic FM, Normani said: "He’s such a nice person. People don’t really think that because of what they see on TV, but he’s really such a nice spirit and he really does care about people.

"He makes sure our business runs the way that we want it to. He always asks our input. We love Uncle Simon."

Meanwhile, the ‘Work From Home’ hitmakers previously revealed they feel like they "finally have a voice".

Dinah shared: "We finally have a damn voice. We feel like actual artists. We were little babies in the beginning. Now we’re becoming big girls."

However, Camilla suffered from "terrible nonstop anxiety" during their journey to fame.

She said: "I’ll start with the low because that led to the high. I was having terrible anxiety, nonstop. My heart would beat really fast the whole day. Two hours after I woke up, I’d need a nap because my body was so hyperactive.

"It was so f***ed up. I was scared of what would happen to me, of the things my brain might tell me. I realised the stuff I thought was important isn’t worth my health. Now I write in a diary every day, work out and meditate."

And Lauren thought the music industry was full of "rainbows and butterflies" until she started to have a career in it and realised what it’s really like.

Lauren added: "They sell you this present of rainbows and butterflies, and as a 16-year-old that’s what I bought. It’s why I did ‘X Factor’ and why I ended up in a group. But then you’re working so hard, so young.

"[Meanwhile] my friends are in college, telling me about their days and what they’re studying. You’re having to put on a smile on a red carpet. It’s like, ‘Who am I? Am I for myself or for this?’"
