Russell Brand takes up yoga for unborn baby
Russell Brand has taken up baby yoga to bond with his unborn child.
The 41-year-old comedian is hoping that practicing the Buddhist meditation will help him to form a connection with the baby he is having with Laura Gallacher.
The pregnancy became public knowledge last month, by which time Laura was already 20 weeks gone.
A friend of Russell’s said of his new regime: "Russell wants to get close with the baby and has started these daily yoga routines.
"He takes it really seriously and honestly believes it will help to form a relationship with the child."
The pal also disclosed that the ‘Get Him to the Greek’ star is keen to deliver the baby himself.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, the friend said: "As a couple they are very close and Russell has even told pals he’d like to deliver the baby."
Unlike many of his previous relationships that have been very public affairs, Russell has kept this one very low key.
Laura is the sister of TV presenter Kirsty Gallacher.
The star seems to have turned over a new leaf since his wilder days and has swapped his London lifestyle for a £3.3 million country mansion in Henley-On-Thames, Oxfordshire, south west England.
An insider recently said: "Russell is absolutely made up [about the prospect of becoming to be a dad]. Most of his closest friends have children and he was desperate to start a family.
"It didn’t work out with Katy, who felt she was too young for kids – and there were conversations with Jemima."
Russell split from Jemima Khan in 2014 and was married to singer Katy Perry from 2010 to 2012.
