Rita Ora has signed a new record deal after settling her lawsuit with RocNation.

The 25-year-old singer has been a loggerheads with Jay Z’s record company RocNation since she filed a lawsuit against them in December 2015, but Rita has revealed she’s just landed herself a new record deal and is able to start working on her second album.

Rita shared her news with her fans on Snapchat, where she posted a picture of the new contracts with the caption: "CONTRACT TIME OMG @RitaOra RO Album2 (sic)"

It is not yet known which record label Rita has signed with.

Fans will be delighted with the news as it has been four years since her debut album ‘Ora’ was released.

Since the launch of her debut record, Rita has been a judge on ‘The Voice’ and the British version of ‘The X Factor’.

She subsequently declined an opportunity to return to the talent shows so she could focus on her music and acting.

Rita is currently filming ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ – the sequel to ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ – which sees her reprise her role as character Christian Grey’s younger sister Mia Grey and is expected to be released in 2017.

The latest announcement came after RocNation sued Rita for $2.4 million for breaching the terms of her contract and not providing the required number of albums throughout the years she’s been with them.

But a document filed to the New York Supreme Court show the pair have now settled things out of court and Rita is free to choose a new label.

Meanwhile, in previous documents, Roc Nation denied Rita’s claims that Jay Z is more focused on other things, like his streaming site TIDAL, than his record label.
