Police Officer Catches A Boy Praying With A Homeless Man

Far too often, homeless people are left to fend for themselves on the streets, but every so often, amazing people take a stand and are there for people when they need it most.

That is what Eric Gaines, a police officer at the University of Maryland, Baltimore saw when he noticed a teenager approach a homeless man who was sleeping outside a housing complex. Gaines was preparing for trouble, but what happened next left him speechless.

The teenager knelt and began to pray over the sleeping man, and Gaines was so inspired, he took this photo. He told the Baltimore Sun,

“It was good to see a young black man, especially in this community, doing something positive,” the officer said. “That’s why I took the picture. It was powerful on so many levels, and for it to be in my presence — it was crazy.”
