In the present day with social media taking over the world, it is easier than ever to become a notable photographer. In fact, there are hundreds of people that work professionally as photographers that started with nothing other than their social media, a camera, and a dream. Even though people love it if they do it, being a photographer is no easy task most of the time.
And for the people who make it as photographers, they get to live a life where their passion is their job, sounds pretty awesome right? And while it definitely can be, there are also some drawbacks like with every job in life. Even though people love it if they do it, being a photographer is no easy task a lot of the time. It is a very competitive space with lots of people vying for only a few positions.
But one person who takes the already difficult job and takes it to another level is Melissa Wardlow. And this is because being a photographer isn’t even her primary job, being a mother is. And being a photographer isn’t even her main source of income, she works as a full-time teacher as well. Talk about a busy life! Wardlow lives in Texas and has been getting a lot of press recently due to a photo that was taken of her.
In the photo, Wardlow is not only holding her expensive camera taking pictures, but she also has a child on both her front and backs, with a bottle occupying her spare hand. The photo is definitely one of the best personifications of the word multi-tasking that I have ever seen. And this picture has people all across the country calling her Superwoman for being able to handle it all.
But when asked about the picture, Wardlow didn’t say she was a superhero at all. Instead, she says that this is her everyday life! Her husband works as a high school football coach and she makes the trek down to the field every Friday with both children strapped to her and takes pictures at the game.
But recently, another photographer (from The Dallas Morning News) was also shooting the game and snapped the now-famous picture of Wardlow. The photo soon went viral on Facebook, receiving more than 7000 shares, and she didn’t even know it was viral until someone saw it and told her.
It is very endearing that this woman, despite having so much on her plate, is dedicated to not give up on her photography business. She is doing things in her life that would likely make some people crumble under the pressure. But not only is she not crumbling, she is enjoying her life.
It takes a special kind of person to do this much in her life and still continue to remain positive. It is no surprise that this picture went viral as many people can appreciate someone who isn’t afraid to have a lot on their plate.
