This Pencil Flower Vase Is Perfect For Teachers and the Home
Well, it’s official. Back to school season is here and this proves to be a busy time for everyone. Parents, children and teachers alike all have a lot to do in the next few weeks. And while there is a lot to do, it doesn’t all have to be daunting.
In fact, here is one DIY project that is not only fun but can also prove useful in this back to school season. This project is an adorable “back to school” vase, that can have a variety of purposes from being a great place to keep things at home, or even a great place to put some flowers in for your favorite teacher.
First of all, you’ll just need a 7.5-inch vase (so the pencils will fit right) ,some pencils, a glue gun and a bit of ribbon for decoration. The first thing you need to do is simply make a vertical glue strip of glue from the top of the vase to the bottom.
Next, you attach a pencil (eraser side up) to that vertical strip of glue. Next, you just have to repeat those steps over and over until the perimeter of the cup is covered in pencils. It is important to make sure that all the tops of the erasers are even so the vase looks as good as possible.
After the glue has dried and all the pencils are secured in place, attach that piece of ribbon in the middle of the vase for that little touch of color and creativity. Now, your vase is ready for some flowers or whatever else you want to put in it.
The vase could be kept at home and used to make any room pop, or can even be given as a back to school gift for your teacher that will look amazing on his or her desk.
