Niall Horan praises Ariana Grande
Niall Horan has praised "incredible" Ariana Grande for organising the One Love Manchester tribute concert on Sunday (04.06.17).
The ‘Slow Hands’ hitmaker was one of the artists who took to the stage at the charity gig and has thanked his friend – who put together the show in honour of those who were killed or injured in a terrorist attack at her concert in the city two weeks ago – for asking him to be involved.
He tweeted: "First of all thank you Manchester. What an incredible city, to pull together like that, show no fear and just have a great night
"That atmosphere in that stadium was just amazing all night, start to finish
"Secondly. Thank you @ArianaGrande for putting that show together in just a few days..
"All week you have been incredible and as a friend, I’m so proud of you my love. Amazing person!
"I won’t be forgetting that night ever. So happy that I was given the opportunity to be involved in what was a fantastic night.
"Just got back to London. Thank you again Manchester and thank you Ari! Goodnight world (sic)"
Miley Cyrus also praised Ariana – who she dueted with on ‘Don’t Dream It’s Over’ – for her work on the concert.
She wrote on Instagram alongside a picture of them together on stage: "Special moment with a very special girl ?#WeStandTogether #ONELOVEMANCHESTER @arianagrande (sic)"
Other performers included Black Eyed Peas, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Take That, Robbie Williams, Coldplay and a special performances by former frontman of Manchester band Oasis, Liam Gallagher.
More than £10 million has been raised for the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund so far, with £2 million raised within three hours of the benefit concert.
Meanwhile, Ariana has also re-released her hit single ‘One Last Time’ on iTunes in order to help raise further funds for the charity, which was set up by the British Red Cross.
