New Dad Transforms Nursery Into a Harry Potter Themed Dream Come True

Do you ever dream about living at Hogwarts? Wish that you could be surrounded by the magic and characters of the Harry Potter series? For these Harry Potterheads and their little one, they’ve made the dream come true.

Super fans, Kaycee Daniel and her husband, Casey, (yes, they have the same name!) decided to prepare for their bundle of joy in the best way: by turning the baby’s room into an amazing Hogwarts themed castle nursery. The idea originally was Casey’s and came to him while his wife was still pregnant. It took a little time to talk Kaycee into it, but she consented eventually and now she is so glad she did!

She told Buzzfeed, “My husband knew right when we were pregnant that he wanted to do a Harry Potter nursery. At first, I wasn’t sure, to be honest, but after him showing me some ideas, I came around to the idea.”

It took the couple about 3 months to design the nursery. They had their friend and 3D artist, Nate Baranowski paint the murals on the walls. They only took him 5 days to complete. Aren’t those incredible? The work on the castle window is really beautiful and makes you feel like you’re really there, looking out a real window. And take a look at that awesome light fixture. It is a unique piece that really helps to create the feel of being in a cozy, old castle.

Of course, if they were going to do that much on the one side of the room, they had to keep it up on the other side, right? This photo shows another angle of the room. The richly colored red curtains with the velvet rope, the ornate photo frames hung on the wall, and even the Harry Potter books displayed on the shelf really help envelope you in this exciting world.

Once Kaycee posted photos of the nursery on Facebook and people got a look at that beautiful room, word has spread. The photos have been seen all over the world, with over 1.8K shares and 6.2K likes.

The couple both loved how it turned out. Kaycee shared this on Facebook: “I absolutely love the way everything turned out! As I sit here rocking our little man to sleep it’s like I am in Hogwarts!”
