Mollie King’s crush on Calvin Harris

Mollie King wants to date Calvin Harris.

The 29-year-old singer only separated from her on/off lover David Gandy earlier this year but it seems she’s not wasting any time moving on as she’s desperate to snag a date with the DJ following his recent split from Taylor Swift.

She told the MailOnline of the talented star: "Body aside, he’s definitely got the banter. I have seen some of his Snapchats, and he’s got a good dry sense of humour like myself."

And, although she’s got her eye on the 32-year-old hunk, Mollie is considering taking up speed dating to find a beau.

She explained: "I was watching a film the other day and there was a scene where there was speed dating and I thought, ‘Oh my god, that looks like an absolute ball.’ I think that would be really fun. I haven’t had any time to go on many dates."

Mollie dated 36-year-old David on and off for five years – during which time they also romanced other people – but things came to a permanent end in January this year after a blazing row, believed to be over their future together.

One person who is sure to be disappointed by Mollie’s crush on Calvin is Olly Murs.

The 32-year-old singer recently admitted he would love to date the star and asked Marvin Humes – who is married to Mollie’s The Saturdays bandmate Rochelle Humes – to set them up.

Speaking to Olly on his Capital FM show, Marvin said: "Right – what do the girls need to do to impress you mate?"

Olly replied: "They need to come and speak to you Marv, you know me well enough. They need to come and talk to you, and then you can set me up. What about Mollie King? You know I like Molls. She’s fit."

Meanwhile, Mollie is preparing to launch her solo career and recently befriended Kesha after meeting at a songwriting camp in Cannes, France.

She said: "We hung out all the time. She’s always an absolute hoot. At one point she asked if she could give me a tattoo. I was tempted … She’s the kind of girl everyone needs as a friend. She’s got a real soft side too."
