Man Proposes To His Girlfriend At The Bottom Of The Ocean While Surrounded By Sharks

Proposals have gotten much more elaborate over the years, and now pretty much no options are off the table. They can happen anywhere, and the couple can be doing anything. We’ve seen skydiving proposals, movie trailer proposals, flash mob proposals, and the list goes on.

One of the less common options is an underwater proposal, but that’s exactly what Ulises Flores chose to do for his girlfriend Cassie Jensen. There have been others that have attempted underwater proposals. One man even tried to use a scuba diver to propose to his girlfriend, but then a goofy stingray coincidentally photobombed his proposal!

The backstory for Flores and Jensen is that they’re both scuba divers that enjoy being underwater regularly. Of course, one of the most important things about a proposal is that it should be special for both parties involved. The more special and customized for the couple, the more likely the story is to be retold time and time again and stored in the memory banks.

That will most certainly be the case for this proposal, as both Flores and Jensen feel that the ocean is very important them. The less exciting option would’ve been to simply propose near the ocean, but Flores wanted to make it especially memorable. Flores made the long dive all the way down to the bottom of the ocean and knelt on its floor while proposing to his girlfriend Jensen.

While many couples are surrounded by family and friends or at least the general public during their proposal, Flores and Jensen had a unique audience. Instead of a human audience, they were witnessed by fish and sharks. This no doubt will only make the proposal for memory for both of them!

The couple barely even notices when a shark swims right beside them. Either they’re extremely comfortable in the water or they were just so involved in the moment! One thing is for sure, this couple’s love is very deep!

At one point the couple even makes the effort to kiss underwater, removing their breathing apparatus to celebrate the moment together.

A friend captured this awesome footage so that the romantic story can be shared and remembered. Jensen then uploaded the beautiful footage to her Facebook account, writing, “Video tells a very different story than a photo, but they’re both special ways to remember such an incredible occasion. I am enthralled by the video and literally can’t stop watching it over and over again. We will treasure all of the photos and videos we have for the rest of our lives.”
