Man Hilariously Documents His Solo Honeymoon on Social Media
Next to the actual wedding and spending the rest of the lives together, the honeymoon is something that most newlywed couples are most excited about. There is nothing quite like a nice trip full of relaxation and romance with the one you love most.
And that is exactly what newlyweds Faizan Patel and his new wife Sana were excited for after their wedding. The two had planned a romantic trip throughout Europe for their honeymoon. Sana had planned the entire trip, figured out what they were going to do and even bought the tickets, everything was shaping up nicely.
But, just before they were set to pack their suitcases and head out on this wonderful trip, Sana realized something was missing. Despite planning and thinking everything out so well, Sana was unable to locate her passport, no matter how hard she tried looking.
And while this meant she would not be able to go on the trip, she didn’t want her husband to miss out on the trip because of her forgetfulness. In fact, there was no chance of getting a refund on the trip, so it’s better for at least one of them to go than waste the hours that went into planning the trip.
So Faizan decided to go on the trip solo, but with a twist. Before leaving, he made sure to print out a large picture of his wife’s face to take along on the trip with him. But when he decided to take to social media, is when the trip really got interesting.
While saying goodbye to his wife at the airport, Faizan took to Twitter and posted a bittersweet farewell picture with his new wife, featuring the hashtag #HoneyMoonWithoutHoney.
He then continued to tweet picture after picture with the picture of his wife in place of the real one, most featuring the hashtag.
There was a picture of the two of them on the plane.
AT the leaning tower of Piza.
And while these hilarious pictures were being taken and tweeted about by Faizan, his wife was working tirelessly with the embassy to get her paperwork so she could meet with her husband as soon as possible.
And as Faizan’s tweeting continued, they started to get noticed and the posts actually ended up finding their way to the minister of foreign affairs of India. And alas, the process was streamlined and Sana got the necessary temporary paperwork she needed to go and meet her husband!
This unfortunate mix up ended up turning into a silly and romantic story that the Patel’s will surely tell for years and was also a story that thankfully had a happy ending.
