Little Girls Went To Comic-Con Dressed As Rey From Star Wars And It’s So Important
In a galaxy far, far away, is a plethora of little girls wanting to be just like the new heroine, Rey, from The Force Awakens. The new Star Wars character is a walking poster for a badass, brave, intelligent young woman. No wonder she’s a great role model for the millions of little girls across the world that are admiring her.
Earlier in July, the annual San Diego Comic-Con rolled around. Comic-Con is basically a 4-day long event where tons of mega fans gather ‘round to obsess together. There also tends to be a ton of relevant characters and celebrities hosting meet and greets throughout the weekend. Since Rey has become a household name and THE role model for girls of all ages, it was only right to see a ton of Rey cosplay characters during this weekend. During this specific weekend in San Diego, the city experienced a surprising amount of cosplay, including dozens of mini-Reys, swarmed the convention.
The fierce, yet stylish warriors impressed event-goers with their sword fighting skills. No way she’s giving up Luke’s lightsaber to Kylo Ren.
Isn’t it amazing that all of these children have such an important and strong minded character to love and identify with?
It also doesn’t help that the lady who plays Rey, Daisy Ridley, speaks multiple languages in real life!
We’re sure that nobody at Comic-Con was mad seeing mini Rey’s strut their stuff.
Parents that are believers in the Reylo storyline are even dressing up their children as Rey and Kylo Ren.
We can’t wait to see what the next Comic-Con has in store for mini Star Wars fans. We sure hope it’s something as cute as this little Rey!
