Lady Gaga wouldn’t be happy if Taylor Kinney started dating again
Lady Gaga still loves Taylor Kinney and wouldn’t be happy if he started dating someone new.
The 30-year-old singer and the ‘Chicago Fire’ actor, 35, ended their engagement earlier this year, but Gaga still has a huge amount of affection for him.
She told Howard Stern on his Sirius XM show: "I hate to sound like a hippie, but I kind of am one and so is he. We love each other, that’s it. It’s just about life changes, and we all go through different stages and we’re focused on different things."
"To be fair, I think that Taylor’s pretty f***ing cool that over the years no matter what creative transformation that I’ve gone through, he’s always been very supportive of that and loving."
However, when asked how she would feel if he started dating someone else, Gaga quipped: "I’m not going to f***ing throw a party!"
Gaga – who recently released her new album ‘Joanne’ – praised Taylor for how supportive he has been of her career since they met on the set of her ‘You & I’ video in 2011 and admitted he has inspired her latest record.
She said: "I’m actually very close to Taylor. He’s been my lover and my friend for a really long time. He’s been so supportive of the album, and I support him on his show, ‘Chicago Fire.’
"There’s a lot on this record inspired by our relationship, and he’s super supportive of me expressing myself artistically."
The pair were together for five years and engaged for one before they ended their romance in July, but Gaga has previously insisted they are "soulmates".
She wrote on Instagram after their split: "Taylor and I have always believed we are soulmates. Just like all couples we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break. We are both ambitious artists, hoping to work through long-distance and complicated schedules to continue the simple love we have always shared. Please root us on. We’re just like everybody else and we really love each other(sic)."
