This Guy Built Himself a Plane to Fly to Work
Now for most people, there are few things more annoying than a long commute to and from work, it is simply annoying. On the way to a longer commute means leaving and waking up earlier, which no one wants to do. And a long commute home is the last thing you want to undertake is a long drive and would much rather wind down from a long day at the office.
And for most of us, any commute over 10/15 minutes can sometimes be painstaking, and that is exactly what Frantisek Hadrava of the Czech Republic was going through. While his commute was only around 15 minutes or so, he felt this was way too much. But what he decided to do to cut down on his commute is something you will never expect.
Hadrava actually decided to build himself a plane to get to work. It took him around two years and around $4000 to build the small, 1 person plane. The thing has one propeller, one seat, and an open cockpit and is modeled after an American plane called the mini-max.
He flies the mini plan to a field near his work and then pulls it the rest of the way into the parking lot. All in all, the plane ride cuts his commute down to about 7 minutes. Do you feel it is worth it to spend that much time and money to cut your commute in half?
But whether you think it was a smart investment of time and money or not, you can’t deny this is an extremely cool thing he did. Surely this amazing idea brought to life will spur other people to take on creative and amazing ways to lessen their everyday commute.
