Winter Is Here in Epic New ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 7 Trailer

It’s June 21, the summer solstice, but HBO is giving fans chills with the latest trailer release for the new season of Game of Thrones.

“Don’t fight in the North, or the South. Fight every battle, everywhere, always…” begins Petyr Baelish to start the trailer. What unfolds from there is a montage of all our favorite characters: Tyrion, Cersei, Jamie Lannister, Daenerys (and her dragons), Tormund, and of course, the Knight King and his army of White Walkers, among others, as ominous orchestral music plays over fast-paced scenes of war.

The trailer ends with Sansa Stark narrating, “When the snows fall and the white winds blow, a lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.”

After that line, it cuts to an image of Jon Snow, now King of the North, striking a man down in battle.

Is this a not-so subtle hint that another Stark will meet their fate in Game of Thrones season 7? The answers will begin to reveal themselves when Game of Thrones Season 7 begins on July 16.
