Christian Nicole Scherzinger wants marriage before babies
Nicole Scherzinger will only start a family once she is married – because of her Christian faith.
The ‘X Factor’ judge is currently dating 25-year-old tennis ace Grigor Dimitrov and readily admits it is one of her goals to have a baby but she won’t get pregnant until she has made the ultimate relationship commitment in front of her family and friends with God as her witness.
In an exclusive interview with Yahoo News, Nicole, 38, shared: "My faith comes first, I mean I need to find a husband and then I’ll have some kids, so it’s everything in its own divine time. Yes I have been focused on my career and no I haven’t been like, ‘This year I’m going to find a husband and have kids.’ That will happen when it’s supposed to happen and I can’t wait for it to happen, the day when I’m married, have kids and running a family while still doing my career."
Nicole may be 13 years older than Bulgarian sportsman Grigor but she insists she never thinks about the age difference between them, although she acknowledges she now has "timelines" in place for things she wants to achieve in her life.
The American singer said: "I’m 38 years old and I feel like I’m 25, it really is more about where you are in your life. Now I’ve finally grown up, I’m at an age where I need to take a step back and really set life goals and really set timelines for myself … Because one day you wake up and you’re like, ‘Wow seven years just went by just like that.’"
Nicole’s most famous relationship was with Formula One racing driver Lewis Hamilton.
The pair called time on their near eight-year on/off relationship in February 2015, but vowed to remain friends even though things didn’t work out.
The former Pussycat Dolls star insists her "greatest weakness is love" as she is a "sucker and a fool" for romance.
