Cheryl ‘had an invisible caesarean section’
Cheryl reportedly gave birth after undergoing an ‘invisible’ caesarean section.
The 33-year-old star welcomed her first child with boyfriend Liam Payne on March 22 and, according to The Sun newspaper, she did so with the help of one of the world’s leading obstetricians at the Chelsea Birth Clinic, who is known for leaving new mothers with no visible scar lines.
A friend said: "He is a specialist in allowing the mother to choose how they give birth, either through caesarean or water births.
"Cheryl opted for a c-section because he is well known for leaving patients without an obtrusive scar following the procedure. He specialises in perfect stitches post-surgery.
"The birth went really well last Wednesday and everyone was over the moon."
Cheryl and Liam, 23, are reported to have booked out the entire Kensington suite of Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in West London, thereby ensuring the brunette beauty wasn’t disturbed by members of the public.
The source told The Sun newspaper: "Cheryl and Liam had ensured they had the wing reserved for them and other expectant mums were told there wasn’t any space to book in.
"Cheryl went home on Saturday and announced the news on her Instagram that night so it was perfectly timed for Mother’s Day."
Meanwhile, Liam recently thanked his fans for their well wishes after he became a father for the first time.
Posting on Twitter on Monday (03.27.17), the ‘History’ hitmaker said: "Thank you to everyone for the love and supportive messages for myself and @CherylOfficial It really means a lot (sic)"
The tweet came after Liam – who is currently pursuing a solo career – took to Instagram on Saturday (03.25.17) to share a picture of himself holding his as-yet-unnamed son.
He captioned the image: "My close friends and family know there are very few times when I’m left speechless… wow!
"I’m incredibly happy to welcome our new baby boy into the world, it’s a moment that I will never forget for the rest of my life and my favourite memory I have so far.
"I’m completely in awe of his incredible mother and how she has been the whole way through this, she’s really made my dreams come true. We haven’t named him yet but he’s already capturing hearts including mine. I feel very blessed.
"Happy Mother’s Day everyone! (sic)."
