This Amazing Pit Bull Saved Her Owner From a Train
Let’s face it, there is a very good chance you love dogs. Not only do dogs make brilliant companions and are incredibly cute, but they show us time and time again they are extremely brave and loyal.
We hear tons of stories about dogs thwarting burglars or saving their owners from potential harm. This happens too often to be a coincidence, I think it’s safe to say dogs are amazing.
However, for whatever reason, there are certain types of dogs that aren’t appreciated as much as others. Breeds such as Rottweilers and Pit Bulls often get a bad reputation for being mean, vicious and aggressive dogs.
Where this stigma came from, I don’t know, but it is simply not true. A dog is a reflection of their owners, and thus, a mean and nasty owner will likely lead to a mean and nasty dog. Pit Bulls can be just as nice and heroic as any other dog, and here is an example to prove it.
While taking her Pit Bull, Lilly, for a walk, Christine Spain suddenly fell unconscious and landed on some railway tracks. After only a few moments, a train was barreling down on their location and disaster was looming near.
As the train was getting closer to her owner, Lilly desperately tried to pull her off the tracks. And when the owner (who did everything he could to stop) felt a bump, he thought that both had been run over. But when the train finally stopped, he had seen that both Lilly and her owner were very much alive.
However, Lilly had some serious injuries as a result and had to have a leg amputated as a result of her heroic efforts to save the life of her owner. Lilly is recovering nicely and has become a hero as the story has gotten a lot of press.
This is another example of not only how amazing dogs are, but that breeds such as Pit Bulls and others should not have a reputation of being mean dogs when they go out and do amazing and heroic things such as this.
