Adele: I felt ‘pressured’ to have kids
Adele felt "pressured" to have children.
The ‘Rolling In The Deep’ hitmaker – who has four-year-old son Angelo with her partner Simon Konecki – says she and her friends felt like they had to get pregnant because it’s "what adults do".
She said: "I think it’s the bravest thing not to have a child; all my friends and I felt pressurised into having kids, because that’s what adults do."
Whilst the 28-year-old singer loves her son dearly, she admits there are times where she wishes she could do her own thing.
She told Vanity Fair magazine: "I love my son more than anything, but on a daily basis, if I have a minute or two, I wish I could do whatever the f**k I wanted, whenever I want. Every single day I feel like that."
Meanwhile, the songstress previously revealed she is desperate to have another child.
She said: "My son is about to turn four very, very soon. I’m starting to get very emotional about it because I feel like once they turn four, they’re not really your actual baby anymore. So my womb is starting to ache a little bit. It’s like, ‘Baby, baby, baby. Need a baby, need a baby’. I’m not pregnant. I won’t get pregnant until the end of the tour."
And with plans to expand her family, it is no surprise that the star is reportedly thinking of taking some time off from touring.
A source shared recently: "Angelo is the number one priority for Adele. He is the most important thing in her life. She has brought him everywhere with her on tour but as he is starting school next year, he won’t be able to join her any more.
"Adele doesn’t want to miss a moment of Angelo growing up and it’s an easy decision for her to give up touring for him. Right now she is saying she won’t do another massive world tour like the current one for another 10 years."
