The Two-Ingredient Solution to All Your Pet Stain Problems
Pets can sometimes be hard to train. This is especially true if you have invited a new puppy into your home. Even if you haven’t adopted a puppy, you will know the struggle of constantly cleaning your carpet when the cat or dog doesn’t feel like doing their business outside or in a litter box. Though it is fun playing and cuddling with pets, it is a true nightmare when you need to get the stains out. However, don’t fret because DeeDee, from the blog, Clover House, is coming to the rescue.
Because DeeDee has an elderly dog, she knows the struggle you go through when an old friend starts to have accidents all of a sudden. Her fix? A two ingredient solution which consist of hydrogen peroxide and Dawn dish soap. Here is an explanation what you need to do to get rid of every pet stain on the carpet.
Step #1: Mix The Two Ingredients
The first thing you need to do is to mix the hydrogen peroxide and Dawn soap in equal proportions. Make sure you blend and combine the two properly because this is where the magic begins.
Step #2: Brush Away
Then, using a brush which will be gentle yet persistent on the carpet, rub the solution into the area and let it sit for about half an hour or more.
Step #3: Dab and Vacuum
Next, you need to go back to your now almost cleared stain and dab over it with a paper towel. Remember not be too forceful because all you want to do is pick up the moisture and not get rid of the entire solution. Once this is done, vacuum the area after it has dried, and viola, you will see the results immediately!
Here’s what DeeDee had to say prior to inventing the magic solution.
“Keeping our light colored carpet clean and keeping the house urine odor free is a chore now!” DeeDee wrote on her blog post. “Sometimes I catch the accident right after it happens, but mostly he does this while we aren’t home throughout the day and that causes the staining.”
Though urine stains can be hard to remove, the next time you see your pet going at it on the carpet, make sure that you grab these two ingredients and a brush right away so the stain doesn’t get a chance to set in.
