Train Enthusiast Saves For 6 Years To Buy A Train Set That Spans His Whole House
Almost everyone has hobbies of one kind or another. It could be carpentry, exercising, learning languages, etc. The list of possibilities is endless, and they’re some truly unique hobbies out there.
The amount of time and energy devoted to those hobbies varies from person to person, and it’s usually pretty easy to see how passionate someone is about their hobbies simply by observing them. Either they’ll talk about it endlessly or they’ll devote their resources to furthering their involvement in it.
Not only are hobbies fun, but they can be a great use of time and a way to develop interesting knowledge or skills. Although some hobbies are cooler than others, they’re almost always more productive than sprawling out on the couch while binge-watching the latest shows on Netflix.
If you’re a fan of television show The Big Bang Theory, you’re likely familiar with character Sheldon Cooper’s obsession with trains and train sets. Turns out that obsession is shared by many as train set collecting is one of the all-time classic hobbies!
Most people have played with trains at some point throughout their life, either through the use of Thomas the Tank Engine and company or the old wooden Brio train tracks. The enjoyment basically comes from building big tracks around the house and sending trains through the course. Some sets even come with props of various kinds, i.e. houses, conductors, or trees.
A man named Joseph recently set the bar for train enthusiasts. He loves trains and model train sets, and he’s been collecting and playing with them for much of his life. He’s such a fan of trains that he actually saved his money for six years to build the train track set of his dreams.
The track that Joseph has built belongs in the legend books. It’s big enough that it travels through much of his home and yard.
To demonstrate the sheer size of the track, Joseph recently attached a GoPro to one of his Lego trains. The resulting video shows the train course in its entirety, and it’s pretty incredible. Even if you’re not a train enthusiast, you have to appreciate his dedication and design acumen!
Check out the full video below, and make sure to watch it through and through. One of the best parts is when the train travels past Joseph’s onlooking dog while it simply watches in curiosity.
A bonus of the video is you get a full tour of Joseph’s house! Maybe GoPro train tours of people’s homes will be the fad of the future…

We can only imagine how much fun Joseph had building this track, and we hope it inspires to him build more elaborate train track courses! One thing is for sure, if he does make more, we’ll be watching his videos!
