Marvel Wows Comic Con With Latest ‘Defenders’ Trailer

It’s taken them nearly three years to find each other, but The Defenders have finally united.

Next month, the highly anticipated Marvel series The Defenders – which teams up the title characters from the studios Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist series – will debut on Netflix.

To give fans a taste of what to expect from the series, Marvel debuted a new clip at San Diego Comic Con. The trailer puts the banter between the members of the team on full display, as well as several action sequences, and a bit of scenery-chewing from Sigourney Weaver’s lead villain.

Attendees at the show’s SDCC panel were also shown the first episode of the series.

The Defenders, which stars Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, Finn Jones, and the aforementioned Sigourney Weaver and features appearances from Marvel Netflix veterans Rosario Dawson, Rachel Taylor, Eka Darville, Simone Missick, Rachel Taylor, Elden Henson, and Deborah Ann Woll, is scheduled to premiere in its eight episode entirety on August 18.
