Bride and Groom Stun Guests with a Surprise They Never Saw Coming
Weddings are a bliss. It’s a special day for the couple going to tie the knot, but what about the hundreds of people who have attended the wedding just to show their love and support for the union? Often, you will hear about how guests surprised the bride or the groom on their special day. Fortunately, this isn’t always the case because there are a few couples that go above and beyond to thank the guests for coming to their special day.
Karolina and Wojtek Gawel are an example of people who put their guests first. Instead of just inviting people to their nuptials, they came up with an out-of-this-world dance routine in 9 months to leave their guests stunned.
The couple danced and practice for the 36 weeks leading up to the performance in a cramped up apartment.
The couple’s dance routine was based on Benny Goodman’s “Sing, Sing, Sing,” which was one of the most iconic songs of the swing movement. Though the routine was recorded in 1937, it still hasn’t lost its charm and you are guaranteed to get moving if you hear it on the radio.
Wojtek and Karolina’s YouTube video lasted for three-and-a-half-minutes and has received over 8 million views since October 2010. Replying to a comment that was left by a YouTube viewer, Karolina said that though neither her nor her husband had any dancing experience, their spirit and motivation was raised because they wanted to wow their guests. The two never stopped practicing in the nine months prior to the wedding and said, “if you just believe, you can do it – you really can do it.”
Here’s the video of how the two danced in perfect unison and amazed their guests.
As is evident in the routine, the two really put everything they had into the routine and ended up making their day special for everyone in the room. They began slowly and progressed into high sprung swings, twirls and jumps which got them a round of booming applause from the guests.
The couple now operates a landscape architecture business in Poland and is known for their incredible energy.
What did you think of the dance routine? Did you have a similar experience at your own wedding or one which you attended? If yes, then feel free to share it with the world.
